NUMS University Online Registrations for Entry Test and Admissions.

General Information about NUMS

Starting from the NUMS entry test, NUMS is the National University of Medical Sciences located in Rawalpindi. NUMS is a government organization and it is under the Pak army. NUMS has multiple affiliated Medical and Dental colleges in Pakistan. students who want to get admission to NUMS-affiliated medical and dental colleges must appear in the NUMS entry test and pass it to be eligible for admissions. 

    The most Prominent Medical and Dental colleges under NIMS are Army Medical ColleegsRawalpindi (AMC), Cominiend Milteral Hospital CMH Lahore Medical and Dental colleges, CMH Multan, etc. 

    NUMS MDCAT

    • Total MCQs = 200
    • Time Durations = 3 hours 
    • Subjective Part: One Best Answer MCQ with 4 options 
    • Psychological Part: One Best Answer MCQ with 7 options

    In Biology, Chemistry and Physics section 70 % questions will be recall and 30 % will be application level. 

    Paper Pattern:

    NUMS entry test consists of two significant portions, a Subject-based exam, and a psychological Test. The subject-based exam consists of 150 MCQs. The psychological test consists of simple 50 IQ MCQs. Merit is calculated on the marks of the subject-based exam but it is mandatory to pass the NUMS psychological exam. 

    NUMS Subjective Part

    • Biology: 65 MCQs 
    • Chemistry: 40 MCQs 
    • Physics: 30 MCQs 
    • English: 15 MCQs
    • Total: 150 MCQs
    NUMS Psychological Part 
    • Psychological: 50 MCQs 

    NUMS Exam Durations

    • Duration of Subjective Test: 2 hours & 45 minutes (165 Minutes)
    • Duration of Psychological Test: 15 minutes
    • You have 66 Seconds to attempt 1 Subjective MCQs
    • You have 18 Seconds to attempt 1 Psychological MCQs

    Validity

    • The NUMS exam is valid for 01 year.

    Passing Marks for NUMS 

    • Passed PMDC MDCAT exam with 55% for MBBS 
    • Passed MDCAT exam with 50% for BDS
    • 60% in Premedical FSC or levels.  

    Tips To Prepare For NUMS

    Build your Interest 

    Medicine is a very respectable field but it also demands a lot of interest in the studies. For the Appearing NUMS entry test, you must have an interest in MBBS or BDS otherwise you will not be happy
