National University of Medical Sciences NUMS conducts the Entry test for admissions in NUMS affiliated Medical and Dental Colleges. There are 1 Public sector Medical and Dental college named army Medical colleges. and other are 12 Private Sector Medical and Dental colleges located in different cities of Pakistan. Each year thousands of students appear in the NUMS entry test for admission in MEdical colleges.

NUMS Test Pattern and Syllabus
NUMS entry test comprises of two portions
Subject Based Question Paper
Subject Based Question Paper comprising of 150 MCQs and time is given is 150 minutes. further subject-wise distribution of 150 MCQs is provided below.
- Biology 40% (60 MCQs)
- Chemistry 25% (38 MCQs)
- Physics 25% (37 MCQs)
- English 10% (15 MCQs)
NUMS Difficulty Level
- Easy 20%
- Moderate 55%
- Hard 25%
The Psychological Test
The Psychological Test comprised of 50 MCQs and the time provided is 30 minutes. this portion is mandatory to pass only but the Merit shall be only based on the Subject Based Paper.
NUMS Merit List
NUMS Merit list is uploaded on NUMS official website after the NUMS entry test. NUMS Merit formula which is used to calculate the Aggregate is different for both Public and Private Sector Medical colleges.
