About Bacha Khan Medical College

 Bacha Khan Medical College in Mardan KPK was established in the year 2010 and is one of the newly built and famous Medical colleges in KPK. Bacha Khan Medical College in the Government sector Medical colleges and is affiliated with KMU Khyber Medical University Peshawar. About 50 students enroll for the MBBS course in BKMC Mardan each year. 
Bacha Khan Medical College Mardan is Situated on the National highway at a distance of 15 km from Nowshera city in KPK. 

Teaching Hospital spreads over 500 kanals of land and It is the teaching hospital for BKMC.

Construction works on 200-bed Mohtarama Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Children's Hospital has been started which will be completed. 
At present College has an Admitting capacity of 59 seats in MBBS and 25 seats in BDS courses. Now three batches of MBBS with 168 students and 1st batch of BDS with 25 students are studying in BKMC.

Admission Dates 

Admission in MBBS seats on public sector seats opens once a year by KMU. IN the past KMU conducted its own Entry Test ETEA for Medical students but now PMC conducts combined MDCAT for the whole of Pakistan Medical and Dental Colleges admissions.

The number of MBBS Seats in BKMC is provided below.

Allocation of Seats

  • Open Merit:  60 
  • Self Finance (local):  5 
  • Self Finance (Foreign): 3 
  • Merged Area Districts: 31 
  • Afghan Nationals Sets: 1 
  • Merged Area Districts/ Balochistan Project Sets: 4

Eligibility Criteria 

For Admissions in any Medical or Dental College in Pakistan, Students Must have 65 % marks in pre-medical FSc and 65 % marks in the PMC MDCAT entry Test. also MBBS and BDS students must be between 17 and 25 years of age.

Moreover, the Merit formula used for the calculation of Closing MErit is provided below. 

  • 40% FSc 
  • 10% Matric
  • 50% MDCAT

Fee Structure 

The fee structure of all KMU Public sector Medical colleges is provided below.
  • College Tuition Fee is Rs. 50000/-
  • Hostel Fee is Rs. 50000/- may vary

This Fee Sturue is for Session 2022 and may vary with time.

Admission Form 

For admission to BKMU or any KPK Public sector medical colleges Students have to go to the KMU official Website and apply through the online MBBS and BDS admissions Portal. Admission for KMU Medical colleges opens once a year Mostly in October or November,
