Minimum Marks Required in MDCAT 2024 for MBBS
More than 2 lakh Pakistani pre-medical students each year after passing their FSC HSSC board exam appear in the Medical and dental colleges admission test (MDCAT) to get admission to MBBS or BDS courses in Pakistan. However, there are only 16 thousand MBBS seats, of which 8 thousand are offered in government sector medical colleges. The majority of students who can't afford the high tuition fee in Private medical colleges are not able to achieve higher marks in the MDCAT and FSC exams and fail to secure admission to their dream medical colleges.
MDCAT closing merits of Previous Year MBBS
Here we will share the minimum marks you will need to secure in MDCAT 2023 to get admission in a public-sector or private-sector medical college. First, you have to understand how PMDC or medical colleges calculate the MDCAT aggregate. Admissions in Medical colleges are conducted on a merit basis and your merit is determined by the marks obtained by students in SSC, FSC, and MDCAT exams.
MDCAT 2023 is expected to be conducted by provincial Medical universities such as UHS Lahore in Punjab, SZABMU, KMU ETEA and DOW DUHS. Here we are talking about Combined 11 Class and 12 Class (First Year and Second Year) marks.
- 27 FSC Marks = 1% Change in MDCAT total Aggregate
- 54 FSC Marks = 2% Change in MDCAT total Aggregate
- 81 FSC Marks = 3% Change in MDCAT total Aggregate
MDCAT 2023 Marks in MDCAT Aggregate
- 01 MDCAT Marks = 0.25% Change in MDCAT total Aggregate
- 04 MDCAT Marks = 1% Change in MDCAT total Aggregate
- 08 MDCAT Marks = 2% Change in MDCAT total Aggregate
- 12 MDCAT Marks = 3% Change in MDCAT total Aggregate
- 20 MDCAT Marks = 5% Change in MDCAT total Aggregate
Here you can see that every 04 marks difference in the MDCAT exam can impact 1% total MDCAT Aggregate and even a single marks in the MDCAT or one MCQ in the MDCAT exam will have a 0.25% impact on the total MDCAT aggregate.
