Minimum NUMS MDCAT Marks Needed for Admission in MBBS 

Here we will discuss the minimum Marks required in MDCAT NUMS (NUMS Entry Test 2024) to get admission in NUMS Public or Private Medical or Dental colleges in Pakistan. NUMS conducted its Entry Test for admission in MBBS or BDS courses on and the Result for MDCAT NUMS is expected to be out in a few days. Now Students are worried about how many minimum marks they need to secure in MDCAT for NUMS 2024 to secure admissions in NUMS Affiliated Medical colleges in Pakistan.

NOTE: This year because PMDC MDCAT Marks will not be counted for the NUMS Merit Lists so the Closing Merit for NUMS Medical Colleges is expected to be higher than last year.

NUMS has almost 13 Medical and 6 Dental colleges which offers 1500 MBBS seats and 250 BDS seats each year. NUMS medical colleges as 03 types of medical seats including 

  • NUMS Cadets or Open Merit (Civilations)
  • Paying Cadets (Wards of Army personals)
  • Army Cadets (Army Captains)

NUMS MDCAT Marks Weightage 

  • NUMS Subjective (150 MCQs) Weightage = 95%
  • NUMS Psychological (100 MCQs) Part Weightage = 5%

NUMS MDCAT Merit Formula 

NUMS MDCAT Merit Aggregate Formula

  • NUMS MDCAT Marks = 50% 
  • FSC Marks = 40% 
  • SSC Marks = 10%

NUMS Aggregate 

  • Subjective Weightage = 47.5%
  • PsychologicalWeightage = 2.5%

    For Expected NUMS Merit Calculations, we are assuming that students have 1010 marks in SSC, and 1050 Marks in HSSC. Total Marks for NUMS MDCAT is 150

    • Army Medical College: 140+ or above marks out of 150 in NUMS 
    • CMH Lahore Medical College: 135+ or above marks in NUMS 
    • CMH Bahawalpur Institute of Medical Sciences: 135+ marks in NUMS 
    • CMH Kharian Medical College: 132+ or above marks in NUMS 
    • CMH Multan Institute of Medical Sciences: 130+ or above marks in NUMS  
    • HITEC Institute of Medical Sciences, Taxila: 125+  or above marks in NUMS 
    • Karachi Institute of Medical Sciences KIMS: 115+  or above marks in NUMS 
    • Quetta Institute of Medical Sciences QIMS: 100+ or above marks in NUMS 
    • Wah Medical College: 130+ or above marks in NUMS   
    • Foundation University Medical College, Islamabad: 128+ marks in NUMS  
    • Bahria University Medical and Dental College, Karachi: 125+ marks NUMS   
    • Fazaia Ruth Pfau Medical College, Karachi 125+ or above marks in NUMS  
    • Fazaia Medical College, Islamabad 125+ or above marks in NUMS

      As you guys know NUMS has one Government Sector Medical College which is Army Medical Colleges (AMC) Lovatd in Rawalpindi. AMC has the highest Closing Merit for MBBS and BDS seats. Then almost 16 Medical colleges are in the Private sector. CMH Lahore Medical and Dental Colleges, and CMH Multan are ranked among the top private-sector Medical colleges in Pakistan so the Closing merit for CMH Lahore is the highest for MBBS. 

      NUMS Syllabus

      MCQs weightage distributions in NUMS part 1 is follows below.

      • Biology = 55 MCQs
      • Chemistry = 40 MCQs
      • Physics = 40 MCQs
      • English = 15 MCQs
      • Total Subjective MCQs = 150
      • Psychological MCQs = 100 MCQs

      • 1 SSC Marks = 0.009% Change in MDCAT total Aggregate 
      • 110 SSC Marks = 1% Change in MDCAT total Aggregate

      HSSC / FSC Pre-Medical Marks in MDCAT Aggregate. Here we are talking about Combined 11 Class and 12 Class (First Year and Second Year) marks.

      • 27 FSC Marks = 1% Change in MDCAT total Aggregate
