Schedule:

• Registrations 10 April to 14 May 
• Pre Limimnary Test 17 May to 14 July 

PREPARATIONS

Course Prerequisites 

• Gender Male 
• Marital Status Unmarried 

Physical Standards 

• Minimum Height - 5'- 4" (162.5 cm) 
• Weight - As per Body Mass Index 

Nationality 

• Pakistani and domicile holders of Azad Kashmir/Gilgit-Baltistan.

Education 

• FA or FSc: Minimum 55% Marks 
• Candidates can also apply for the "HOPE Certificate of 55% Marks"

In-Eligibility Conditions 

• Twice rejected or twice screen out by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB)/ (NHQ)/ (AHQ)
• Withdrawn/ discharged/ resigned or purchase of commission from any Academy/ Training Institution of Armed Forces on any ground.

Preliminary Selection 

• Written/ Intelligence 
• Medical Examination 
• Physical Test 
• Interview by the preliminary selection board

Written/Intelligence Tests.

Written tests will be based on multiple-choice questions from English, Maths, Pak Studies, Islamiat, and General Knowledge.  

Physical Tests.

Candidates must qualify following tests

•  1.6 Km Run - 8 minutes (3 Marks) 
• Pull Ups - 3 repetitions in 2 minutes (2 Marks) 
• Push Ups - 15 repetitions in 2 minutes (2 Marks) 
• Crunches - 20 repetitions in 2 minutes (2 Marks) 
• Ditch Crossing - 7.4 feet (1 Mark) 

Passing all events as per the above table is mandatory for each candidate. A candidate failing in any 1 x event will be considered a Physical Test (PT) failure and will not be given Inter Services Selection Board (ISSB) form. 

Interview. 

Candidates clearing written, Medical & Physical tests will be finally interviewed by S&ROs (instead of Brig by the formation) and a Psychologist. Before the interview, every candidate will be required to write an essay of 10 lines in English and Urdu. Each candidate will be given marks out of 20 and 12 marks is considered passing. The following guidelines are given for the conduct of the interview:

• Expression and confidence in English and Urdu. 
• Adequate Knowledge of current affairs. 
• Adequate knowledge about Geo and Pak Studies. 
• Overall outlook. 
• Extracurricular activities include sports and hobbies. 

Medical Test.

Candidates will then undergo a medical test at CMH

Further Selection Procedure 

• Shortlisted candidates will be called for ISSB tests. 
• Medical examination of ISSB recommended candidates
• The final selection will be made at GHQ on the basis of the candidate's overall performance.

Documents Required at AS&RCs 

• Original Certificate/ Detailed Mark Sheet of Matric/ FSc/ Equivalent certificate. 
• Attested photocopies of domicile

• CNIC or Computerized Form "B" along with CNIC of Father 
• 3 x Coloured photographs 
• Original as well as 3 x photocopies of ISSB "NOT RECOMMENDED" letter are also required for Repeater only.
