How to Prepare for the UET Entry Test 

If you are searching for how to prepare for the UET entry Test ECAT, we will share the tips and methodology that will help you get good marks. 

University of Engineering and Technology is a well-known university in Pakistan that offers multiple Electrical and computer sciences courses. UET has multiple campuses. UET Lahore, UET Taxila, and UET Peshawar are the most famous ones. UET conducts a combined Entry test ECAT once a year in August or September. Any Students willing to get admission to UET and Affiliated colleges have to pass the UET ECAT combined entry test.  

Tokens for UET ECAT will be available at some bank branches and the ECAT Test Fee is  Rs.2500

Merit Calculation Formula:

  • Matriculation = 17% 
  • Intermediate = 50% 
  • ECAT 2024 = 33%

Eligibility 

  • should have obtained at least 60% marks in F.SC/ ICS
  • should have obtained at least 60% marks in SSC

Entry Test Pattern 

  • Total Marks 400 
  • Total MCQs 100
  • Total Time 100 minutes  
  • Mathematics 30 MCQs 
  • Physics 30 MCQs 
  • Chemistry 30 MCQs 
  • English 10 MCQs 

Entry Test Marking

For each correct MCQs, you will get 04 marks, and for each wrong Mcqs, you get -1 negative mark. if you don't attempt any mcqs it will be counted as 0 zero. so if you do not know the answer don't attempt it. 

  • Un-Attempted MCQs marks = 0
  • MCQs Wrong Answer  = -1
  • MCQ’s Check Answer  = 4 Marks

Calculators are not Allowed

The calculator is not allowed in the UET entry test so you have to learn to solve numerical problems without calculators and memorized the important equations.

Time Management

As there are 100 MCQs and 80 minutes of time to solve all MCQs you must manage your time. Also, some difficult MCQs or Numerical types mcqs take more time. Try to solve the easier MCQs first. 
Solving Time Based Mock Tests will help you understand the Time Management during the ECAT test. Mock tests are available at the Pak LEaring Spot Website

Focus and concentrations 

If you are Preparing for the UET admissions test you must be focused on will you are studying. As you know there will be a very short time for Entry Test after your board exams so you must be determined and concentrate while you are studying

Setting Timetable and Goals

Try the make a proper timetable and achieve your goals in the study. Don't waste your time on any other activities.

These past papers will guide you about the nature of the Entry test and these mcqs are likely to get repeat

Buying ECAT Practice book

There are a lot of ECAT Preparation and MCQs books available in the market you can buy them or you can find the Free pdf file on the internet. but one thing you must keep in mind doesn't buy multiple practice books you will have not enough time to read all of them you try to focus on just one book. 

Your Textbooks is the ultimate source, if you study well from your Textbook you really don't need any other book. 

Join Academy or online Preparation 

ECAT test is really not that difficult that you should join Academy course for that also academies are changing a lot of money and in return they guaranty nothing. The best thing is that you study at home as there are almost all the data and material for Netyr test preparation available online. 


Have Faith and Praying Namaz

You must have faith in Allah. Anything that you get is by the will of Allah. so don't get depressed and worry a lot about entry tests. you work hard and rest the result on Allah's will. Allah is the Best Planner and you should pray Namaz five times a day and Make a lot of duas for your future. InshaAllah everything will be okay.

    There is 1month left for preparation and I just started my preparation sholud I apper in test or I should leave it as there are many other universities that conduct there own test and prepare for that test . Like Nust
