Eligibility for MCC

Minimum Eligibility criteria are mentioned below which must be met for admissions in Army Medical Colleges on Medical cadets seats
  • Marital Status: Unmarried
  • Gender: Male
  • Height: 5 feet 4 inches (minimum)
  • Weight: as per body mass index.
  • Age: 17 years to 21 years (3 months relaxation).
  • Vision: 6/6 or with glasses (6/9)
  • Education: FSC (pre-medical) with a minimum of 65% marks

Initial Intelligence Test

  • Verbal intelligence test (96 MCQs), 
  • non-verbal intelligence test (96 MCQs).

Academic Test

55 MCQs MCQs will come from 04 four subjects at FSC Level. Academic tests will be conducted after clearing Initial Intelligence Test.

  • biology, 
  • chemistry, 
  • physics
  • English 

Physical Test

After Passing the Academic Test at the Selection center you will be asked to come for the Physical test on the scheduled date.

  • Running 1.6km in 8½ minutes.
  • Sit-ups. 15 repetitions in 02 mins
  • Chin-ups. 03 repetitions in 02 mins
  • Push-ups. 15 repetitions in 02 mins
  • Ditch crossing 7′.4″×7’4″ with depth 4′

Medical Test

The medical test includes General Medical examinations tests. 

  • weight, 
  • height, 
  • eyesight vision, etc.

Personality Test

The Qualified candidates from the above tests are called from army GHQ for a 02 days personality test also called ISSB in September or October.

On the first day of ISSB candidates has to pass the written intelligence test and personality tests.

  • Picture Stories ( only 2)
  • Pointer stories ( only 2)
  • SCT ( 2 sets 26 each only English)
  • WAT ( 75 words )

On the Next day, the candidates have to pass the interview before the final selection.

Final Medical Test

detailed medical examination at the CMH Hospital will be undergone after passing the ISSB test.

Military Training

After completing MBBS/BDS, every graduate has to undergo Basic Military Training of 22 weeks.
