PMDC conducts a single uniform MDCAT exam throughout the country on multiple dates. there are several test centers for MDCAT.
MDCAT is recently started to be taken online and a New syllabus for MDCAT has been Announced.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria for appearing in MDCAT are listed below.
- Must have 60% in FSC Pre Medical or A-Levels or Equivalent Exam.
- There is no maximum or minimum age limit for MDCAT
How to Register
As described before the exam is conducted by PMC so students have to register their selves on the PMC online portal. Usually, the Portal of MDCAT Registration opens in July and August.
Students appearing for the MDCAT exam also have to pay a one-time registration fee Which is provided below.

MDCAT Exam Fee: 8000 Pakistani Rupee.
This fee may vary as per PMDC policy
Format of MDCAT
The pattern for MDCAT has been changed by PMDC. Now the Logical Reasoning Part is also included in the Syllabus. There are 200 MCQs in MDCAT and It is conducted online on tablets which will be provided to you in the exam center.
MDCAT is designed to test the problem-solving, critical thinking, behavioral, and social sciences concepts of a candidate required in Medical studies such as in MBBS and BDS. It will evaluate the student's abilities like intuitive and critical thinking skills

- Duration of MDCAT Exam: 3.5 hours
- Format of Paper: Computer-based MCQs
- Minimum passing marks: 65%
- No negative marking

- Biology 68 MCQs
- Chemistry 56 MCQs
- Physics 56 MCQs
- English 20 MCQs
- Logical Reasoning 10 MCQs
Difficulty levels of MDCAT
MDCAT is a Conceptual Test that checks your ability to get admission to a Medical or Dental College. The difficulty level of the MDCAT entry test is provided below.
- Easy 20
- Moderate 60
- Hard 20
In Biology Portion, Chemistry Portion, and Physics Portion, 70% MCQs will be recall-based and 30% MCQs will be application-based.
