Registration:

  • 21 Feb to 4 April 

Course Prerequisites 

  • Age 17 - 21 years (relaxable for three months). 
  • Gender Male 
  • Marital Status Unmarried 

Physical Standards 

  • Minimum Height - 5'- 4" (162.5 cm) 
  • Weight - As per Body Mass Index 

Nationality 

  • Pakistani and domicile holders of Azad Kashmir/Gilgit-Baltistan.

Bond 

  • Cadets are required to sign a surety bond to serve the Army for a minimum of 13 years

Education 

  • Matric/ Equivalent minimum 60% Marks. 
  • FSc Pre-Engineering or ICS: Minimum 65% Marks 
  • Candidates can also apply on the "HOPE Certificate of 65% Marks"

In-Eligibility Conditions 

  • Twice rejected or twice screened out by the Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB)/ (NHQ)/ (AHQ)
  • Withdrawn/ discharged/ resigned or purchase of commission from any Academy/ Training Institution of Armed Forces on any ground. 

Registration & Preliminary Selection Procedure 

  • Candidates can either register through the Internet or by visiting Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCs)
  • Candidates will report on the exact date and time given for the preliminary test on the computerized roll no slip. Candidates will also bring along documents (as per the list mentioned in the advertisement) and will pay the prospectus fee on the day of the test.

Preliminary Selection 

Intelligence/ Academic Tests.

Candidates declared successful in an intelligence test, will undergo the academic test, based on multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Computer Studies/ Computer Sciences (Only for Computer Science students). Candidates declared successful in academic tests, will undergo physical tests at Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCs). 

Physical Tests.

Candidates must qualify following tests
  • 1.6 Km Run - 8 minutes 
  • Push Ups - 15 repetitions in 2 minutes 
  • Sit Ups - 20 repetitions in 2 minutes 
  • Chin Ups - 3 repetitions in 2 minutes 
  • Ditch Crossing - 7'.4" x 7'.4" and 4' deep 

Preliminary Medical Test..

Candidates will then undergo an initial medical test 

Further Selection Procedure 

  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) tests. 
  • Medical examination of Inter-Service Selection Board (ISSB) recommended candidates will be carried out at nearby CMHS. 
  • Final selection will be made at General Headquarters (GHQ) on the basis of the candidate's overall performance. 

Degree Programme Institutions (NUST) 

4 Years degree programme at NUST
  • Civil Engineering, at Military College of Engineering, Risalpur 
  • Electrical Engineering at Military College of Signals, Rawalpindi 
  • Software Engineering, Information Security, and Electrical Engineering at the College of Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, Rawalpindi 
  • Mechanical Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, and Aeronautical Engineering at the College of Aeronautical Engineering, Risalpur 

Military Training.

  • After obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering Degree, cadets will undergo one year of military training at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul. 

Documents Required at AS&RCs 

  • Original Certificate/ Detailed Mark Sheet of Matric/ FSc/ Equivalent certificate. 
  • Attested photocopies of domicile
  • CNIC or Computerized Form "B" along with CNIC of Father 
  • 3 x Coloured photographs 
  • Original as well as 3 x photocopies of ISSB "NOT RECOMMENDED" letter are also required for Repeater only.
