Foundation University Islamabad (FUI) is a private-sector university situated in Islamabad, Pakistan. FUI was established in the year 2002. At present, Foundation Medical and Dental Institute admits 150 MBBS & 50 BDS students each year respectively.

Foundation University is a nonprofit university run by the Fauji Foundation. There are several academic programs offered by Foundation University including Engineering programs, Medical Programs, Business programs, and Nursing programs. FUI departments are dual accredited by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), Pakistan Medical Commission (PMDC), National Business Education Accreditation Council (NBEAC), and the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC).

Foundation University Medical College (FUMC) was established in the year 2000. The intake of this Medical college is 150 MBBS Seats each year. FUMC also offers training programs for post-graduate training which is accredited by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP), FCPS Part II training programs.

Foundation University Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences (FUIRS) offers the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program since the year 2014. FUIRS enrolls 50 students for the first semester each year. The total duration for the DPT program is 5 years or 10 semesters. 

Foundation University College of Dentistry & Hospital (FUCD&H) is located in Islamabad and was established in the year 2014.FUCD&H offers 50 BDS Private sector Seats per year

Foundation University College of Nursing (FUCN) was established in the year 2019. FUCN is dually accredited by the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC) and induct around 50 students for the BS Nursing Program.

Admission in MBBS public sector seats is open once a year by NUMS. Normally admissions procedure starts in October.

Eligibility Criteria 

For Admissions, Students Must have cleared the NUMS entry Test Exam and have secured  65 % marks in pre-medical FSc and 65 % marks in the PMC MDCAT entry Test. 

Also, the Merit formula used for the calculation of NUMS Private Closing Merit is provided below. 

• 50% FSc 
• 25% PMC MDCAT
• 25% NUMS Test

Fee Structure 

The fee structure of Foundation University Medical & Dental College is provided below. It is a Non-Profit University and offers Private Sector MBBS and BDS degrees. Comparative to other private Medical or Dental Colleges in Pakistan Its fee structure is lower.

• Medical College Tuition Fee for 1st Year Rs 1,250,000
• Total Excluding Miscellaneous Charges = Rs 6,750,000

This Fee structure is for Session and may vary with time.

Admission Form
