About King Edward Medical University KEMU 

Here we will discuss KE Medical Colleges. As all know King Edward is the most famous and Top Medical college, offering MBBS and BDS courses. KEMU is a Public sector Medical institute and affiliated with UHS University of Health Sciences Lahore. It has multiple allied government hospitals in Lahore. following is the list of hospitals affiliated with KEMU.

  • Lady Willingdon Hospital
  • Lady Aitchison Hospital

KEMU Admission Date 2024

As KEMU is affiliated with UHS so the Admissions in MBBS and BDS courses in the KE are Regulated by UHS. UHS opens centralized admissions in all public sector medical and dental colleges in Punjab. Admissions started after the MDCAT entry test. This year the admissions are going to start from November 2024. schedule for UHS Admissions is provided below 2024


KEMU Medical & Dental Seats

UHS announces the number of public sector MBBS seats in King Edward medical university. Thousand of students apply to KEMU because of its high ranking only a few hundred get admission in it. 

The number of MBBS and BDS Seats in King Edward Medical Institute are provided below.

  • 325 MBBS Seats
Open Merit Seats are for students to get based on their closing merits. other quota-wise seats include Disability seats, Minorities Seats, and Underdeveloped district seats for PUNJAB. 

Eligibility Criteria 

Eligibility Criteria criteria for admissions in the MBBS course in KEMU are announced by UHS under the supervision of PMC. Eligibility criteria for students include 65 % marks in FSC pre-medical and 65 % Marks in the PMC MDCAT Entry Test. 

Merit List is formulated by UHS. Following Merit formula is used for calculations of merit.

  • 40% FSc 
  • 50% PMC MDCAT
  • 10% Matric

Fee Structure 

The fee structure for King Edward Medical College is provided in the UHS Prospectus form. Usually, all Public Sector Medical and Dental colleges of Punjab have the same fee structure.

This year Open Merit MBBS seat fee Structure is provided below
  • First Year fee 30k for MBBS
First-time Admissions charges are also to be paid by students at the time of admissions in colleges.

Admission Form 

Students can Get an Admissions form from the UHS website. as said earlier, KEMU doesn't open separate admissions for its MBBS seats. and Students have to apply in Centralized admissions open by UHS once a year. Admissions forms are filled online and the fee is submitted to Punjab Bank.
