Medical and Dental Colleges Admissions Test MDCAT is the mandatory exam that is required to pass in order to get admission in any Public/Government or Private Sector medical college in Pakistan.
Apply For Admission in Private Medical Colleges
MDCAT was conducted by provincial universities including UHS, KMU, DUHS, SZABMU, and BUMHS. the result of MDCAT is already announced on the PMC website. Students can apply for MBBS admissions if they have 55% marks in MDCAT and for BDS if they have 50% marks.

Closing of MBBS/BDS Admissions Dates
- Public Medical Colleges 31st December
- Private Medical Colleges 31st January
- Public Dental Colleges 15th February
- Private Dental Colleges 28th February
Students who can't get high MDCAT merit will not be able to secure admission in Government Medical colleges. Those students with lower marks in FSC and MDCAT exams can apply for admission in Private Medical colleges. The Fee structure of Private Medical and Dental colleges is very high as compared to public-sector medical colleges. Due to this a lot of students having higher marks can't afford the tuition expenses of Private MBBS. The students how can afford the fee can apply in Private Medical colleges or Private Dental colleges for MBBS or BDS admissions respectively.
How to Select Medical College
There are a total of 72 Private sector Medical colleges in Pakistan that offer almost 8000 Private MBBS seats in Pakistan. Also, 42 Private sector Dental colleges in Pakistan offer 2400 BDS Private seats each year. Details are provided below.
Students can select the Medical colleges on 2 grounds
- Fee structure [Total 05 Years] of that Medical/Dental college
- PMDC Grading of that Medical/Dental college
