Making a proper timetable is the first and
foremost thing while starting to prepare for any examination. A study without
making a timetable and a strategy is just like a sailing boat without a map.
MDCAT being a career-based examination, as well as being conducted only once a
year has so much terror and needs a perfect plan to make if you really want to
ace it.

So, here are some tips on how you should make your timetable and what should you do to follow it. You can amend things according to your needs and differences in strategy. So, Here We Go!
GET TO KNOW THE EXPECTED DATE OF THE TEST:
PMDC website keeps on updating the latest information. Try checking it regularly so that you keep yourself on track. You can also subscribe our channel PakLearningSpot on YouTube to get the latest updates of any news regarding MDCAT.
KEEP 20 DAYS ASIDE:
From the total number of days, set aside twenty days for the unforeseen. You may have God Forbid some emergency or urgency. Keeping these days aside will help you to stay on track even if something happens.
MDCAT SYLLABUS:
The syllabus assigned for MDCAT by UHS is available on their website. Its better to get it printed, and have it by your side so that you may not deviate from the main course. There is spreading news that the designated syllabus will be finished by the next year... let's see, what happens. You can also subscribe to our channel PakLearningSpot on YouTube to get the latest updates of any news regarding MDCAT.
FSC BOOKS:
Your main course books are the ones you also
studied in FSc. So, you just have to make sure that not a single word and
concept stay hidden from you. Have a strong grip over those and you are done
with it :)
MDCAT MCQS BOOKS:
There are different MCQ books for MDCAT preparation. Dogar's is a nice one. You can also have some other according to your ease. Keep it by your side. And do atleast 50 practice MCQs daily. MCQs done wrong should be written in bullet form somewhere so that you can revise them easily.
DAYS FOR REVISION:
While making a timetable designate how much time you have in total? How much time is required for first go-through of the syllabus? How much time is required for the second round? and how much you need for revision? As REVISION is the key to success. Without this, all is in vain.
MARGIN FOR LEFTIES:
Try to complete your task before the due time. Say for example if you have to complete a task in one week try to do it in 5.5 days. So that, there is nothing left. If still there are some lefties, jot them down and try to adjust them as soon as possible.
WORK ON YOUR WEAKNESSES:
Find out your areas of improvement from your FSC mark sheet [ except Urdu and Islamiat] , upon which subjects you want to invest
your time and energy more than others. Assign your days accordingly.
ENGLISH IS EQUALLY IMPORTANT:
Many students work die-hard for the science subjects and left out English, which plays the real game. And most of the time it is our weakness as we do not give it much importance in school and FSc too. But now it has weightage. So, assign accordingly. Don't leaves vocabulary for the end. Give vocabulary 15-30 minutes daily in the morning for a better grip.
ONE SUBJECT AT A TIME:
Do one subject at a time and do your least favorite or the most tiring subject at the first. Because in the start your energy levels are boosting. Make its use perfectly.
DIVIDE A SINGLE DAY INTO TWO HALVES:
It's better to divide your day in two parts so that you divide the hours accordingly. Do the draining portion in the first half, take a nap after a meal and do the easier half in the second half. This will ensure you stay on track and you'll have less lefties.
PLAN TODAY FOR TOMORROW:
For Tomorrow the right time of planning is Today. Write your detailed next-day plan before sleeping. Never plan in the morning what you have to do that day. This wastes the time and you tend to be more relaxed wasting hours in thinking what and how you'll execute your plan.
SLEEP:
Its important to sleep at least 4 hours at night and a one-hour nap in between the day to keep you sane. Remember, even a machine cannot work continuously. For quality work, you will have to take a rest or else you'll be tiredly sitting in front of books with a sleepy mind retaining nothing.
MEALS AND HEALTH:
Have a good breakfast including milk and almonds, with two proper meals in the day. Put some snacks by your side. You can have some tea and coffee to make your mind work smoothly. But do not overload yourself with caffeine or any sort of energy drink. Proper dietary and waking-up routines will sort out everything.
PRAY AND BELIEVE:
Last but not least, Give yourself the maximum and
then leave it to Allah. Believe in Him and yourself. This will not only bring
you peace of mind but will also improve your quality to focus. Pray five times
a day, ask from Him in Tahajjud, give your the best, and leave the rest on Him.
For He has better plans for you than yourself.
Remember us in your prayers.
STAY CALM AND FOCUSED. BEST OF LUCK PEEPS!
