The National University of Medical Health Sciences is Miltary controlled public-sector MEdical university located in Rawalpindi Punjab. NUMS conducts its own Entry test for admissions in NUMS-affiliated medical and dental colleges in pakistan. There are 13 Medical colleges which are under NUMS administrations out of which only 01 Medical college is in the public sector which is Army Medical Colleges AMC Rawalpindi and the remaining are Private sector Medical Colleges. NUMS medical colleges offer more than 1600 MBBS seats each year which general students can apply on merit.

NUMS MDCAT or also known as MDCAT for NUMS is a different test and unlike PMDC/ UHS MDCAT it is conducted by NUMS each year. More than 80 thousand students apply for the NUMS MDCAT entry test every year. NUMS MCQs Test follows its own NUMS syllabus and NUMS pattern. The difficulty level of the NUMS Entry test is much easy as compared to UHS MDCAT. After the NUMS entry test, NUMS uploaded the NUMS Merit lists and students having higher NUMS Aggregate secured the seats in NUMS medical colleges. The Fee structure of Army medical colleges is less but there are only 55 seats for MBBS in AMC for Open Merit.
